Welcome to Marseille
I hold an associate professor position at the Aix-marseille University where I give courses in statistics for graduate and undergraduate students in life & earth sciences.
I work at the Mediterranean
Institute of Oceanology, part of the Pytheas
Institute.
I'm interested in theoretical ecology and applied statistics in the
field of marine sciences. My research activities are essentially driven
by two main topics. The first one concerns the characterization of the
relationships between marine living organisms and their environment.
The second point concerns the very nature of the data : many of them
arrive as curves. I try to develop graphical and statistical methods
that include this property. I
am especially
interested in data analysis when data are curves (FDA), in
multivariate data analysis and
related classification topics, dimension reduction methods in
general and approximation & smoothing methods.
